Adoption Process

We are a small rescue organization located in Waco, Texas, and we operate without kennels. All of our dogs are cared for in loving foster homes, where they receive attention and training in house, crate, and leash skills, as well as basic commands when they are old enough. Our adoption process is straightforward and begins with the submission of an application. Please complete the application available on our website. Following this, we will conduct all necessary preliminary work before arranging a meet and greet. This includes reference checks and a phone interview with one of our volunteers. During this call, you are encouraged to ask any questions you may have, and the volunteer will ask questions as well. We will also carry out a virtual home visit to assess the living environment for the dog. If you are renting, we will require verbal or written approval from your landlord to ensure that pets are permitted. Please note that we do not adopt our animals to be used as livestock or kept in backyards. Additionally, we do not hold animals; they remain available until we have an approved applicant. As of January 1, 2017, our adoption fees are as follows: $175 for puppies (age one year and under), $150 for adult dogs (over one year of age), and $75 for senior dogs (over seven years of age).
