Adoption Process

The adoption process begins with an approved application, which may require a veterinary check or personal referral. An interview will also be conducted. It is important that the adopted dog is kept on heartworm preventatives year-round and lives indoors with the family. A secure, fenced yard is preferred. An adoption contract will be provided, and the adoption fee varies based on the dog's age and location, typically ranging from $125 to $175 for adults and $225 for puppies. Additionally, transport costs between $160 and $185 may apply. All dogs and puppies are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and receive age-appropriate vaccinations, including three sets of shots for puppies, as well as rabies and bordetella vaccines. They are also dewormed and treated with flea and heartworm preventatives.
