Adoption Process
The adoption process includes submitting an adoption application, signing an adoption contract, completing a home visit, conducting a veterinary reference check, and obtaining three personal reference checks.

We operate nationwide and are based in Bullard, Texas. All of our Great Danes and Dane mixes are currently in foster homes.

SRGDRR is a fully volunteer-driven organization dedicated to supporting both humans and pets. Our focus is on Great Danes and Great Dane mixes, assisting individuals who currently own or wish to adopt these breeds, as well as those seeking companionship through dogs in general. SRGDRR provides support to people by: - Helping them identify the most suitable dog breed for their lifestyle. - Assisting in finding healthy and compatible dogs that meet their needs. - Facilitating loving rehoming for Danes that can no longer be cared for by their owners. - Educating owners on the care and training of Great Danes. - Addressing physical and behavioral issues in their Danes. - Offering support for those grieving the loss of their beloved pets. - Maximizing the impact of their contributions by relieving local shelters of the burden of caring for Great Danes. For the dogs, SRGDRR: - Rescues and cares for Great Danes that have been abandoned, neglected, or abused. - Provides spaying/neutering and necessary medical treatment to restore their health. - Offers training and socialization to prepare them for successful adoption into new homes. - Works to match rescue Danes with families that can provide safe, loving, and healthy environments. On average, SRGDRR invests $300 in each dog that enters our rescue. To continue offering high-quality care and veterinary services for these animals, we rely on donations and successful adoptions. We sincerely appreciate the support of our community.
