Adoption Process

The adoption fee for dogs is $75, and for cats, it is $50. This fee covers spaying or neutering, a microchip, and the first round of vaccinations. Adoptions take place at the shelter and can be completed on the same day.

Collin County Animal Services serves as the holding facility for McKinney, Frisco, and many small towns and unincorporated areas within Collin County. Our adoption program is fully funded by donations and primarily operated by volunteers. Our dedicated staff and volunteers strive daily to find homes for all of our dogs and cats. We make every effort to reduce the likelihood of euthanasia due to space constraints. Our mission is to promote these wonderful animals as pets and to help them find their ideal matches.
