Adoption Process

To adopt a pet, you must submit a completed and approved adoption application and contract. In certain cases, a home check may be necessary. The adoption fee for dogs is $125, which covers spaying or neutering, a heartworm test (if the dog is over six months old), core vaccinations, rabies vaccination, and flea and heartworm prevention while the animal is in our care. The fee for cats is $85, which includes a FeLV/FIV test, core vaccinations, rabies vaccination, spaying or neutering, deworming, and flea and heartworm prevention while the animal is in our care.

Almost Home Pet Rescue in Katy, TX

We are a foster-based, no-kill rescue organization staffed entirely by volunteers. Our mission is to save as many animals as possible from the streets of Houston and from high-kill shelters. All of our animals reside in foster homes until they are adopted, allowing us to provide detailed information about their personalities, preferences, and any training they may have received.
