Adoption Process

The adoption fee is $150.00. All cats available for adoption are tested for common feline diseases, spayed or neutered, treated for fleas with Advantage, and dewormed. Kittens under three months receive vaccinations against Bordatella. Every cat has also received RV, FVRCP, and FelV vaccinations and is microchipped. We have specific requirements for adopters: declawing is not permitted, as we educate potential adopters on alternatives and can connect them with shelters or rescue groups that have already declawed cats. All adopted cats must be kept indoors only. We recommend that kittens under 14 weeks be adopted in pairs. Interested adopters should contact us via email or phone, after which they will be directed to complete our online application. A counselor will review the application, and if there are any questions, the counselor will reach out to the applicant. Once the application is approved, the applicant will be connected with a foster parent to discuss the cat's personality in more detail. An appointment will then be scheduled at a mutually convenient time, and most adoptions are finalized during our weekly adoption events at Petsmart. Regarding adoption events, potential adopters are screened on-site by adoption counselors.
