Adoption Process

The adoption fee for our pets ranges from $100 to $250. Interested individuals or families are required to complete an adoption application. After we review the application and provide approval, we will arrange a meeting for the applicant to interact with the specific pet. If the applicant chooses to proceed with the adoption, we will schedule a home visit. Adoptions are finalized after successfully passing this home visit. An adoption contract will be signed, which mandates the provision of veterinary care, food, water, exercise, and affection for the pet. Additionally, the contract includes a stipulation that the pet must be returned to Tails of Hope if necessary. All pets are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, tested for heartworm, treated if needed, and placed on preventative care.

Tails of Hope Pet Rescue in Venus, TX

Tails of Hope Pet Rescue was established in March 2008 as a non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing and adopting out animals in need. Based in Waxahachie, Texas, the organization is operated by a committed team of volunteers who focus on providing a safe environment for rescued animals and matching them with families that will offer a lifetime of loving care. The dogs and cats available for adoption have been saved from various dire situations, including animal control facilities and abandonment by their owners in locations such as streets, bridges, or gravel pits. We take these animals in, providing them with shelter, food, medical care, rehabilitation, and the love and attention they deserve, all while actively seeking permanent, loving homes for them.
