Adoption Process

The adoption process begins with the completion and submission of an adoption application. We conduct reference checks and home visits as part of our evaluation. If you are renting, we will need to verify with your landlord that the breed and size of the pet are acceptable, as well as confirm that any required pet deposit has been paid. Please be aware that a legally binding contract must be signed upon adoption. The adoption is not finalized until we have received the signed contract and any applicable adoption fee.

Companion Animal Network in Quitman, TX

We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established in 2002. Our mission is to rescue abandoned and neglected dogs, as well as to assist with owner surrenders on an individual basis. We collaborate with pet owners to help them retain their dogs in their homes by addressing behavioral and medical challenges. All of our dogs receive comprehensive care, including full vaccinations, heartworm testing, fecal testing, spaying or neutering, and microchipping. We also provide any necessary surgeries or heartworm treatments.
