Adoption Process

Our adoption process is straightforward. There is an adoption fee of $75, which covers spaying or neutering, age-appropriate vaccinations, and a health and behavior assessment.

Luckys Feral Cat TNR in Crystal, MI

Lucky's Feral Cat TNR, also known as "Lucky's," is a small, all-volunteer nonprofit organization based in Michigan. Our mission is to address the issue of cat overpopulation and prevent kitten cruelty in Montcalm County through a humane approach involving the trapping, spaying/neutering, vaccinating, and returning of community cats, often referred to as feral cats. Our team consists of individuals who have full-time jobs and dedicate their free time to resolving the cat overpopulation issue in our county. With years of experience in feline rescue, the inspiration for Lucky's emerged in 2020 when we attempted to save a two-week-old feral kitten named "Lucky." Although we were unable to save him, we provided him with love and the nourishment he needed. Over the next two years, we encountered 24 more feral kittens in our neighborhood and gained valuable knowledge about caring for unweaned kittens. In the summer of 2022, we took in a four-week-old feral kitten named Luna. Despite our efforts, including two vet visits and medication, she tragically succumbed to an upper respiratory infection and severe anemia due to flea infestation. Like Lucky, Luna was a sweet and gentle soul, and we did everything we could to save her. Our last rescue effort involved a kitten named Ginger, who also suffered from an upper respiratory infection. This experience was a turning point for us, as we realized that these innocent animals did not deserve the hardships they faced in their short lives. Now, it is our mission to help save these kittens, one spay/neuter at a time.
