Adoption Process

The adoption process includes completing an adoption application and signing an adoption contract. If necessary, a spay and neuter contract will also be required. The fees for adoption are $40 for dogs and $25 for cats. Additionally, a $25 deposit will be required for spay and neuter services, if applicable. The Benzie County Animal Welfare League sponsors a 100% spay and neuter certificate for all animals adopted that are not already altered.
