Adoption Process

Our adoption process includes reference checks and a home visit to ensure responsible placements. Once approved, adopters will sign an adoption contract and pay an adoption fee that covers prior veterinary care.

Traveling Tails & Ragamuffin Rescue in Utica, NY

Our mission is to rescue animals from abusive, dangerous, and neglectful situations. We aim to raise public awareness about the issues of cat and dog abuse, the ongoing stray animal problem in the Four Corners Region, and ways to assist in addressing these challenges. We provide essential veterinary care to rescued animals and promote the importance of spaying and neutering, alongside responsible pet ownership. Our organization focuses on placing rescue animals into loving homes through fostering and adoption programs. Additionally, we strive to build and maintain a network of collaboration with other animal rescue organizations. While our headquarters is located in Upstate New York, we partner with fellow animal advocates throughout the Northeast and across the United States.
