Adoption Process

The adoption process includes submitting an application, participating in an interview, providing veterinary references, and supplying two personal references. A home visit will also be conducted. Upon approval, adopters will need to sign a contract. The adoption fee is $350 for dogs and $85 for cats.

Rottie Empire Rescue is a non-profit animal rescue organization located in upstate New York. Our mission is to rescue and rehome dogs into permanent, loving homes while promoting responsible pet ownership to prevent future rehoming. We aim to educate the public about the challenges faced by companion animals through informative articles, public awareness campaigns, and events that advocate for humane treatment. This includes highlighting the responsibilities involved in owning Rottweilers and other "bully" breeds. We encourage proper veterinary care, including vaccinations and spaying and neutering. Our organization is guided by the belief that all companion animals deserve safe homes and appropriate medical care. While we primarily focus on rescuing and rehoming Rottweilers and other "bully" breeds, we also assist a variety of dogs and cats. We operate as an all-volunteer program without a physical shelter; instead, all of our animals are placed in foster homes until they can be adopted by carefully screened families and individuals. If you are interested in meeting any of our adoptable dogs, arrangements can be made. We also host adoption clinics twice a month at Bensons Pet Center in Clifton Park, NY, where many of our dogs are present. We are always in search of foster homes, and applications for fostering are also available online.
