Rescue Dogs Rock, Inc in New York, NY
Rescue Dogs Rock is a nonprofit animal rescue organization established in 2015. Our operations are funded entirely through donations and fundraising efforts aimed at helping animals in need. Our mission is to raise awareness about the growing issue of homeless animals in the United States, including those in shelters and those abandoned on the streets. Every day, countless deserving animals are euthanized simply because they are without homes. We aim to showcase these animals to the public and educate people that unwanted companion animals are not inherently flawed or unworthy. In fact, they can make excellent family pets. Unfortunately, animals suffering from abuse, neglect, or medical issues often incur the highest costs for shelters and are frequently the first to be euthanized. Our focus is on rescuing these urgent cases and providing them with immediate routine, emergency, or specialized medical care. We believe in going beyond basic veterinary services by rehabilitating these animals with the help of trainers and behaviorists to address issues stemming from past trauma. We hold the conviction that no injured or abused animal should lose its life due to a lack of financial resources. We do not operate our own shelter; instead, we depend on volunteers, foster families, and adopters to provide these animals with the necessary care and nurturing. All animals in our care will receive vaccinations, heartworm testing, microchipping, and spaying or neutering. We ensure that all foster and adoptive homes are thoroughly screened, which includes checking references, conducting veterinary checks, interviewing applicants, and performing home visits to confirm that the environment is suitable for the animal. Our outreach and educational initiatives are conducted online through platforms like Facebook, our website, and other social media, as well as in person at community events, school assemblies, and other public gatherings where we can share information and promote learning. We aim to educate the public about general animal care and welfare, the importance of spaying and neutering for population control, and disease prevention in the animal population through proper vaccinations.
