Adoption Process

The adoption process involves several key steps: submitting an application, undergoing a home visit, paying any associated fees, and signing a contract.

Service Areas

We primarily place dogs with individuals residing in the Tri-State and New England regions, which include New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Maine, Maryland, and Vermont. If you live outside of these areas, please contact us via email before submitting your application, as we may be able to accommodate you on a case-by-case basis.

Pibbles & More Animal Rescue, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in New York, dedicated to animal rescue through an all-volunteer effort. Our mission focuses on reducing pet overpopulation, particularly among pit bulls, by promoting spay and neuter initiatives and educating the public about responsible pet ownership, emphasizing adoption over purchase. The organization was founded on the principle that no animal should face death without love and a home. In response to the overwhelming number of pit bulls in shelters, we took action to make a difference. Initially, a small group of dedicated individuals came together to establish Pibbles & More Animal Rescue. We rescue and rehome dogs from death row at New York Animal Care Centers, as well as from other shelters in the Northeastern states, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia, where euthanasia practices are prevalent. We aspire to create a future where no kill policies are the norm. Until that day arrives, we are committed to rescuing as many dogs as possible, providing them with necessary medical care, and placing them in foster homes until they can be adopted into permanent families. Our rescue efforts include healthy dogs, dogs suffering from mange, heartworm-positive dogs, and those that have endured abuse or physical injuries. With our care, these animals heal, allowing their true beauty to emerge. Our goal is to give these dogs a second chance at life and a chance to experience love. We strive every day to find responsible and loving owners for the pit bulls and other dogs in need.
