Adoption Process

The adoption process includes the completion of an adoption application, signing an adoption agreement, and payment of an adoption fee. Additionally, three references are required.

Our rescue group was established in December 2007, but our Board Members possess extensive experience in rescuing and caring for abandoned animals. We collaborate with other rescue organizations to identify safe and appropriate foster and adoptive homes for the animals in our care. Our team frequently visits areas where abandoned animals are found, bringing them into our program. Each animal is examined, treated, and spayed or neutered by a licensed veterinarian. We strive to work closely with both the animals and our foster and adoptive families to ensure a suitable forever home is found. For animals that are truly wild and feral, we release them in secure locations once they have recovered from their medical treatment. We also partner with certified wildlife rehabilitators to rescue injured and orphaned wildlife. Our organization is dedicated to enhancing the welfare of abandoned animals in need in Brooklyn, and we focus our resources on supporting these animals. Apart from minimal overhead expenses such as website and phone services, the entirety of our budget is allocated to animal care, including medical treatment and food costs.
