Adoption Process

We are dedicated to addressing any health or behavioral concerns for each animal before adoption. All dogs are vaccinated, spayed or neutered, and tested for heartworm. Our application and home visit process helps us ensure that we place our dogs in the most suitable environments.

Shepherds' Hope Rescue in New York, NY

Shepherds' Hope Rescue was established by two independent rescuers who joined forces to provide more effective assistance for German Shepherd Dogs in need. We are concerned about the rising number of these dogs in animal shelters and neglectful situations across the country. We do not operate a shelter or maintain our own facility. Instead, as volunteers, we care for our rescue dogs in our homes, in foster homes when available, or by utilizing dog sitters and kennels until they can be placed in permanent homes.
