Adoption Process

To begin the adoption process, please complete an adoption application, which can be submitted at an adoption event or online at www.whiskersofhope.org. All provided information will be verified, and two references will be required. Please note that our cats are to be kept as indoor pets only. Within two days of receiving your application, an adoption coordinator will reach out to you for any questions or to provide a general status update. The coordinator will also arrange a time for you to meet a specific cat or inform you about upcoming adoption events. Once your application is approved and you have chosen a cat, the foster parent will be notified to prepare the cat for its new home. At the time of pick-up, you will sign an adoption agreement and receive the cat's veterinary information. An adoption fee, ranging from $100 to $150 depending on the cat's age, is required at this time. The adoption fee covers a veterinary check-up, spaying or neutering, rabies and distemper vaccinations, deworming, flea mite treatment, and testing for FIV and leukemia.

We operate a virtual shelter, with all of our cats housed in foster homes. Our commitment to this mission stems from our love for animals.
