Adoption Process

All applicants must complete an adoption application and provide proof of spaying or neutering for any resident pets. They must also consent to a background check and submit personal references. Once the application is approved, a home visit will be conducted. Finally, the applicant will meet the animal they are interested in adopting, after which the adoption will be finalized with a signed agreement and payment.

We serve the Twin Cities and the surrounding areas. Depending on the distance, we may also accommodate out-of-state adoptions in Wisconsin, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Iowa.

No Place Like Home Pet Rescue is a nonprofit organization dedicated to rescuing and rehoming surrendered, stray, and at-risk shelter pets in the Twin Cities area. Our mission is driven by the belief that these animals are deserving of our advocacy and care. To address the issue of animal homelessness, we promote spay and neuter programs and encourage responsible pet ownership through education. We also provide accessible community resources to help families keep their pets and prevent them from entering shelters.
