Adoption Process
Northwoods Animal Alliance (NWAA) is committed to finding the ideal match for each animal in our care. Due to the popularity of our pets, we often receive multiple applications for the same animal, and we appreciate your patience as we review each application. Our primary goal is to secure a forever home that aligns with the specific needs and characteristics of each dog or cat, including their personality, age, energy level, and health status, as well as the living situation of potential adopters. Please note that submitting an adoption application does not guarantee selection as the new guardian of an animal. Our volunteer foster caregivers are knowledgeable about their foster animals' behaviors and temperaments, and they are trained to identify the best fit for placement. We consider various factors before finalizing any adoption, including checking veterinary references and conducting home visits. Applicants must be at least 21 years old to adopt an animal from NWAA. NWAA is an inclusive organization and does not discriminate based on age, sex, gender, race, sexual orientation, or marital status. Our sole focus is on finding the right home for each animal. Additionally, we typically adopt to homes located within a 60-mile radius of St. Germain, WI, due to the nature of our adoption process. The adoption fee for puppies is $350, which includes a $50 refund after spaying or neutering. This fee covers: - Deworming - Appropriate vaccinations - Spay or neuter performed by our veterinarian - Microchip - Routine and emergency veterinary care while in our custody - Testing for heartworm, ehrlichiosis, and Lyme disease for dogs six months and older.

Northwoods Animal Alliance in Saint Germain, WI
Northwoods Animal Alliance is a nonprofit organization focused on promoting the welfare of animals in Northern Wisconsin. Our mission is to provide shelter, care, and advocacy for animals in need while striving to reduce instances of animal cruelty and neglect within our community. We believe that every animal deserves a loving home, and we are committed to offering medical care, nutrition, and rehabilitation to those in our care until they find permanent homes. Our dedicated volunteer team consists of animal lovers with extensive experience in animal care and welfare. We collaborate closely with volunteers, local businesses, and partner organizations to ensure the highest quality of care for animals in need. Our long-term vision is to create a world where all animals are treated with kindness and compassion, and we are driven by our commitment to making this vision a reality.
