Adoption Process

The adoption process involves several steps: submitting an application, conducting reference checks, verifying veterinary records, checking employment status, performing a background check, and adding your name to a DNA list. If your application is approved, we will arrange a home visit that includes your family and any pets. There is a 24-hour waiting period before the adoption is finalized. During the adoption, a signed contract is required along with a fee of $250. All dogs are adopted out spayed or neutered, vaccinated against distemper and rabies, registered with a 24-hour pet watch service, tested for heartworm, dewormed, and provided with one month of heartworm preventative.
