Adoption Process

Potential adopters are required to complete an adoption application. Following this, we conduct a phone interview to assess suitability. If it appears to be a good match, we arrange a meet and greet with the dog or dogs. The adoption fee is $275 for puppies and $175 for adult dogs, and there is no charge to submit an application. All dogs and puppies will be spayed or neutered, up to date on DHPP vaccinations, dewormed, vaccinated against rabies (depending on age), treated for ticks and fleas, given anti-parasitic medication, and implanted with a microchip that the adopter can register at no cost. Additionally, adopters will receive access to a free 30-day trial of pet health insurance.

Service Areas

We provide spay and neuter services, rescue efforts, and vaccinations to communities on Native American reservations in the Four Corners area. Additionally, we facilitate dog adoptions in Southern Utah and Western Colorado.

Underdog Animal Rescue Moab in Moab, UT

Our organization works diligently to rescue companion animals from the reservation, ensuring they receive veterinary care, including surgeries for injuries caused by vehicle incidents, vaccinations, and spay/neuter services before placing them in qualified homes. We also conduct low or no-cost spay/neuter, vaccination, and worming clinics on the reservations. Additionally, we distribute bulk vaccinations to various individuals within the community to help mitigate the spread of diseases such as parvovirus and distemper, which are prevalent in the area. We collaborate with various organizations to achieve the best possible outcomes for the animals under our care.
