People United for Pets in Issaquah, WA

People United for Pets is a volunteer-driven, registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to rescuing small and toy breed dogs. We are based in Western Washington State. Our mission is to assist the countless dogs in need of homes, helping them find loving families who recognize their potential as wonderful companions. We aim not only to support these dogs but also to enrich the lives of their adopters. We carefully match each dog's needs and personality with the preferences of potential adopters, believing that this is essential for fostering lasting relationships. While our primary focus is on small purebred and mixed breed dogs, we occasionally accept larger dogs as well. We collaborate with local and national shelters, other rescue organizations, and individuals to maximize our impact. Operating entirely through volunteers, we do not have a central facility. Instead, our dogs are placed in foster homes throughout the greater Seattle area, where they receive socialization and training until they are adopted. Founded in May 2006, People United for Pets has successfully placed over 1,000 dogs into permanent homes.
