Adoption Process

The adoption process begins with potential adopters completing an adoption application. Once we receive the application, we review it and reach out if we have any questions. Following this, we contact at least two personal references and, if applicable, a veterinary reference. If these checks are satisfactory, we schedule a physical home visit. Upon successful completion of all these steps, we arrange a meeting for the entire family, including any current canine members if adopting a dog, to meet the prospective new pet. If the meeting is successful, the adopters are fully approved to take their new pet home at that time.

Service Areas

We serve all locations, provided that we can conduct a home check and that the potential adopter is willing to meet the dog in person. Additionally, they should bring their current dog(s) and any family members to the meeting.

Fairy Tails Rescue, Inc. in Forest Hill, MD

Sarah and Jules, the founders of Fairy Tails Rescue, have a rich background in animal rescue, originating from Pugh Zoo Rescue. Sarah established Pugh Zoo in 2014 and successfully managed it until its closure in 2019, after several years of fostering and volunteering with various rescues. During her tenure, she, along with Jules, who was one of her dedicated fosters and volunteers, saved thousands of animals. Unfortunately, personal challenges led to the closure of Pugh Zoo. Now, two years later, Sarah and Jules have joined forces to create Fairy Tails Rescue, and they are excited to continue their mission of saving lives with the support of their community, including fans, family, and friends.
