Adoption Process

The adoption process begins with screening applications to verify property records, permitted pets, veterinary records, social media presence, and identification. After this initial validation, adoption appointments can be scheduled, and contracts will be completed in collaboration with Petco and Love A Cat. We conduct follow-up outreach after the adoption. Please note that we require all adopted cats to be kept indoors, unless they are part of a feral relocation program. We also have a policy of accepting any adopted cats back if needed.

We serve Montgomery, Frederick, and Washington counties in Maryland; Loudoun and Clarke counties in Virginia; and Berkeley and Jefferson counties in West Virginia.
