Downtown Dog Rescue is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Since 1996, we have been dedicated to rescuing dogs in need and providing veterinary care for pets belonging to families experiencing homelessness or those with low incomes.

Adoption process
To begin the adoption process, please complete an application on our website. After we review and approve your application, we will schedule a meeting. If both you and the dog feel it is a suitable match, we will arrange a virtual or in-person home visit, finalize the adoption contract, and collect a donation of $250. We will then coordinate a time for you to welcome your new companion into your home. Please be aware that our dogs are available for adoption only within a 50-mile radius of the greater Los Angeles area, and we do not facilitate adoptions outside of California.
