Adoption Process

Potential adopters are required to complete an application that includes providing references. These references will be contacted, and a home check will be performed before the potential adopter can meet our dogs. Once the application is approved, the adopter may meet the dogs to choose one for adoption. After making a selection, the adoption process is finalized with an adoption contract and payment of the adoption fee, which covers spaying/neutering, microchipping, and vaccinations.

Redemption Ranch in Bakersfield, CA

Our mission has two primary objectives. First, we aim to rescue two specific groups of animals in need: Pit Bull type dogs and the American Mustang. Second, we seek to transform these animals into therapy or service animals for individuals who have experienced trauma, including first responders and veterans affected by PTSD or traumatic brain injury, as well as their families, survivors of abuse or traumatic events, and those recovering from addiction, depression, or loss. The animals we rescue may serve as emotional support companions or as highly trained PTSD service animals, with the ultimate goal of fostering redemption and healing for both humans and animals.
