Adoption Process

Our adoption process is thorough and designed to ensure the best match between adopters and dogs. Potential adopters must meet the following criteria: - Reside in California or in nearby areas of neighboring states. - Complete an Adoption Questionnaire, which can be submitted online or by mail. If you do not own your home, your landlord must also complete a Landlord Letter. - Participate in an interview with an adoption counselor. - Allow for a home visit, which can be conducted either in person or virtually, by an adoption counselor. - Receive approval for adoption. - Choose a dog, and be chosen by the right dog. - Sign our Adoption Agreement with our approval. There is no adoption fee required.
