Adoption Process

The adoption process includes several steps: first, you will need to submit an application. Following that, a phone interview will be conducted. Next, a home check will be arranged to ensure a suitable environment. Afterward, a meet and greet will take place to facilitate interaction with the potential pet. Finally, there will be a 30-day trial period to ensure compatibility before the adoption is finalized.

Real Time Rescue is a registered 501(c)(3) volunteer-based animal welfare organization committed to supporting individuals transitioning out of homelessness and those experiencing financial hardships that affect their ability to care for their pets. Our dedicated team of volunteers actively engages with the communities of Los Angeles and The Morongo Basin, fostering genuine relationships with people in need. We provide education on pet care and distribute essential supplies, as well as veterinary and nutritional assistance for animals. We recognize that the reasons for homelessness and poverty are diverse. However, we believe that if individuals are willing to strive for economic self-sufficiency, we will continue to support them in keeping their cherished pets during this journey. When possible, we may also take in dogs into our rescue program if we have a safe foster home available. We collaborate with homeless outreach and housing organizations to facilitate the transition of individuals and their pets into stable housing solutions. Our goal is to work towards a future where no companion animal is surrendered to a shelter due to financial constraints. We operate with transparency and integrity in all our actions.
