Adoption Process

The adoption process begins with meeting the animal and completing an application. After submitting the application, you will have the opportunity to meet the animal again. Following this, an adoption fee will need to be paid, which ranges from $75 to $100 for cats and starts at $125 for dogs. All animals will be spayed or neutered and vaccinated prior to adoption. The adoption agreement stipulates that if the animal does not fit your household after adoption, you are required to return the animal to us.

Deb's Claws & Paws Rescue in Yuba City, CA

The organization began as a feral cat trap-neuter-return (TNR) initiative but evolved into a cat rescue due to the significant number of friendly cats in need of homes. It has been a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit for four years, although it has operated as a rescue organization for 20 years. In response to the increasing number of dogs needing suitable homes, the organization has also started accepting dogs weighing under 40 pounds. Additionally, we assist many individuals experiencing homelessness or financial hardship with animal surrender, as there are no truly low-cost spay and neuter clinics available in the area.
