Adoption Process

The adoption process begins with submitting an adoption application. If your application is selected, a volunteer will reach out to you to arrange a phone interview. Following this, a home check will be conducted. Finally, you will have the opportunity to meet and spend time with a potential dog.

We serve San Diego County and collaborate with rescue partners in Tijuana, Mexicali, and Sonora.

Amazing Strays Rescue in San Diego, CA

Lisa Biel, our founder, established this rescue in early 2019 in collaboration with rescue organizations in Mexico to help rehome the numerous stray dogs in need. Before starting this initiative, she was involved in transporting and fostering dogs for various groups in San Diego, where she recognized the significant need for a dedicated rescue organization.
