To adopt a dog from Wags and Walks, you must complete an adoption application on our website. The adoption process requires an adoption contract, a fee of $400, and a home check.

Wags and Walks Rescue in West Hollywood, CA

Wags and Walks was established by Lesley Brog, driven by her desire to make a greater impact for animals in need. Growing up as the daughter of a veterinarian, Lesley's passion for animals, especially dogs, was evident from a young age. However, it was the adoption of a Pit Bull puppy thirteen years ago that deepened her commitment to animal welfare. As a pharmaceutical sales representative, Lesley dedicated her free time to volunteering with dog rescue organizations and animal shelters. She became acutely aware of the harsh reality that many healthy and friendly dogs in shelters faced limited time and space, often having just five days to find a home before facing euthanasia. Determined to make a difference, Lesley left her corporate job to found Wags and Walks, a dog rescue organization based in Los Angeles. Her mission is to educate the public about the dogs in shelters and connect them with suitable and loving foster homes and adopters. Today, Lesley visits shelters up to 60 miles away on a daily basis, where she learns about the animals, takes photos and videos, and actively networks to find homes for dogs at risk. Her dedication has gained national recognition, including a $10,000 grant from DogTime Media. Through her efforts, she has saved the lives of hundreds of deserving dogs, bringing joy and companionship to their new families. Despite her achievements, Lesley understands that many more dogs face uncertain futures. She invites others to join her in the commitment to save as many lives as possible by getting involved through adoption, fostering, or donations. Together, we can make a significant difference, one dog at a time.
