West Coast Boxer Rescue in Rowland Heights, CA

We are a small Boxer rescue organization that has branched off from a larger group. We are a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Due to the increasing popularity of Boxers, we are seeing a significant number of these dogs being surrendered or abandoned in streets and shelters. Most of these Boxers are wonderful companions and deserve loving homes. However, many of them are untrained and require specific types of homes, while some need medical care due to neglect. We are dedicated to rescuing these dogs and finding them the right families. We recognize that some of our adopters may be new to the breed or have different expectations for their dogs. Therefore, we work closely with them to set realistic expectations for adopting a rescue dog and provide support to ensure successful adoptions.

Adoption process

The adoption process begins with the completion of an adoption application. Following this, our adoption coordinator will conduct a phone interview. Next, a volunteer will perform a home check. After the home check, you will have the opportunity to meet a dog. If you decide to proceed, you will enter into a foster-to-adopt trial, which requires the signing of an adoption agreement. If at any point the arrangement does not work out, we will always accept the dog back, regardless of whether it has been a few days, months, or even years.
