Adoption Process

Our adoption process includes submitting an application, participating in a phone interview, completing a home check, and, if needed, arranging a dog-to-dog greeting. Additionally, an adoption donation and a signed contract are required.

Wagging Dog Rescue is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization committed to helping as many dogs as possible find their forever homes by facilitating their transition from Southern California's shelters. Our all-volunteer team consists of dedicated animal advocates, owners, and rescuers who work tirelessly to enhance animal welfare and ensure that unwanted pets are placed in responsible homes. Each of our adoptable dogs is cared for in a private foster home, where a loving caregiver supports them in overcoming their challenging pasts and preparing for a stable and fulfilling future. We promote responsible pet ownership, effective leadership, spaying and neutering, and, above all, the importance of adoption.
