Adoption Process
The adoption fee is $250 for puppies and adult dogs, and $150 for senior dogs aged 10 and older. The first step in the adoption process is to complete an adoption application, which helps us determine if your home will be a suitable environment for the dog. After this, we provide a week-long foster-to-adopt trial period to ensure a good fit in your home, accompanied by a signed foster agreement. Once you are ready to proceed with the adoption, you will sign an adoption agreement.

The Perfect Dog is an organization committed to rescuing homeless and abandoned dogs from overcrowded shelters in the southern Bay Area. We place these dogs in temporary foster homes where they receive socialization, training, grooming, and preparation for adoption. Our primary goal is to significantly reduce the number of unwanted dogs that are euthanized in shelters due to overcrowding or being labeled as unadoptable. We focus on rescuing dogs that are often overlooked, including those with medical or behavioral challenges that put them at risk of euthanasia. We believe that every dog deserves a chance, regardless of age, breed, condition, or history. If a dog is in need, we are dedicated to finding the appropriate support and the right home for them. Our mission is to ensure that every dog has an opportunity for a loving and permanent home.
