Adoption Process
The adoption process includes submitting an application, followed by either a phone or in-person interview. A home visit may be conducted at our discretion. Instead of an adoption fee, we require a donation to the Palo Alto Humane Society's Animal Rescue Fund, which supports veterinary expenses for pet rescuers.

Community Cat Rescue in Palo Alto, CA
Community Cat Rescue is a dedicated team of experienced volunteers focused on reducing the homeless cat population and enhancing their welfare. We oversee cat colonies, actively trap cats for spaying and neutering, and provide assistance to others managing colonies and trapping efforts. Our organization rescues adoptable kittens and cats, placing them in a network of high-quality foster homes. Each cat is spayed or neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and receives appropriate veterinary care prior to adoption. We prioritize high standards for our foster care program. Additionally, we host a minimum of two outreach adoption events each month, with the potential for up to six events. These events are also available to verified independent rescuers in our community who adhere to our health and care standards, as we aim to help as many cats and kittens as possible.
