Adoption Process

Potential adopters are required to participate in a complimentary three-hour basic bird care class, undergo a home visit, and pay a reasonable adoption fee for the bird.

Mickaboo Companion Bird Rescue in San Jose, CA

Mickaboo is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in the San Francisco Bay area, focused on rescuing companion birds, including parrots and other commonly domesticated species, that have experienced neglect, abuse, injury, or have been surrendered. Our primary objectives are to provide a safe and loving environment for the birds in our care for their entire lives and to educate bird owners on the latest care practices to ensure that their birds' medical, emotional, and dietary needs are adequately addressed.
