Adoption Process

To begin the adoption process, you will need to complete an application and respond to any follow-up questions. It is essential to meet the legal requirements for your state and county. Additionally, you must participate in NCWR wolfdog education classes and undergo a home inspection. Once you are deemed eligible for adoption, the wolfdog will have the opportunity to choose to go home with you. Open communication will be maintained throughout the bonding process. The adoption of a northern dog is less stringent. We will also place altered northern mixes with northern breed or sled dog rescues for adoption through those organizations. Adoption fees vary based on the costs incurred by the rescue, which include transportation and medical expenses.
