Adoption Process

All interested individuals must complete a pre-adoption questionnaire. This process assists us in ensuring that each animal is placed in a suitable home. Our primary objective is to find the right forever home for our rescued animals, many of whom have faced significant challenges. We aim to facilitate a smooth transition for them into their new environments. For more information about our adoption events and opportunities to meet our cats, please visit our website at www.greatpets.org. For inquiries regarding cats, please contact Hana Butter at (949) 716-0538. For dog-related questions, please reach out to Diane Klein at (949) 348-8057.

New Beginnings for Animals in Mission Viejo, CA

We are a no-kill rescue organization based in Southern California. Our main objective is to rescue animals from death row and high-kill shelters before they are euthanized. Once rescued, we either board the animals or place them in foster homes to evaluate their personalities more effectively before finding them loving permanent homes. All of our animals receive veterinary care, including spaying or neutering, appropriate vaccinations, and, for some, microchipping. Cats are tested for FELV/FIV, dogs undergo heartworm testing, and all animals are treated for fleas prior to adoption.
