Adoption Process

All adopted pets must be spayed or neutered and up to date on vaccinations, which will be provided. A contract must be signed to finalize the adoption. Additionally, a home check, background check, and veterinary check are required. It is essential for all potential family members to meet the pet prior to adoption, as finding the right match between the family and pet is crucial. If an adopted pet does not fit well with the household, it must be returned to the rescue organization; transfers to other homes, shelters, or releasing the animal is not permitted. All cats are required to be kept indoors, and adopters must comply with local laws. Kilroy Kares reserves the right to conduct follow-up home checks on adopted pets.
