Bunny Lu Adoptions Inc aka Bunny Lu Rabbit Rescue in Waynesboro, VA

Bunny Lu, established in 1999, is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit rabbit rescue. Each year, we typically rescue between 150 and 200 rabbits, providing them with loving indoor homes for their lifetime. At any given time, we care for approximately 50 to 60 rabbits, either at the rescue facility or in foster homes. We accept rabbits from local and sometimes distant shelters, particularly those that are full or housing rabbits with medical or behavioral challenges. Our primary focus is on rescuing at-risk rabbits from shelters, although we also consider owner surrenders on a limited, case-by-case basis, as well as rabbits in life-threatening situations outside of shelters. Our mission is driven by a deep love for rabbits and a commitment to educating the public about the joys of having house rabbits as companions and the importance of their proper care.
