Adoption Process

Our adoption fees are as follows: $213 for an adult dog, $313 for a puppy, $113 for an adult cat, and $163 for a kitten. These fees cover all vaccinations up to date, spaying or neutering, microchipping and registration, as well as FIV testing or heartworm testing and flea/tick prevention while the pet is in our care. Each adopter is required to sign an adoption contract. Prior to adoption, adopters will spend approximately one hour with an adoption counselor. We also encourage a foster-to-adopt arrangement to ensure the pet integrates well into the family.

We primarily serve Prince William County, Virginia, but we have also provided assistance in Fredericksburg, Stafford, Fairfax, as well as in Maryland and Florida.

Our organization is relatively new, having opened six months ago, yet we are already making a significant impact. We do not accept pets from the public; instead, we focus on transferring animals from other facilities, including our local municipal shelter. Our mission is to save twice the number of lives while also reducing the euthanasia rate in our county by assisting the shelter with its capacity and the number of animals in its care.
