Akita Rescue Mid-Atlantic Coast, Inc. (ARMAC) has been dedicated to serving the eastern seaboard for nearly 30 years. We address a wide range of Akita-related needs in the greater Washington, DC area. Our organization educates prospective Akita owners and provides support to all Akita owners, regardless of whether they adopted from us. Most importantly, we rescue Akitas from local shelters where they face the risk of euthanasia. All our foster Akitas are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and temperament evaluated before adoption. We conduct thorough screenings of potential adopters to ensure an ideal match between families and Akitas. Our commitment extends beyond adoption, as we offer ongoing support to our adoptive families throughout the lives of their Akitas.
