Adoption Process

The adoption process involves several key steps: first, you will need to submit an application. Next, a home check will be conducted, and a veterinary reference will be required. Once your application is approved, you will participate in an interview and have a meet and greet with the pet. Following these steps, you will sign the adoption contract and pay the adoption fee.

Underhound Railroad in Greenville, ME

Underhound Railroad was established in 2009 by a group of friends dedicated to rescuing dogs at risk of euthanasia in Connecticut shelters. The organization has expanded its mission to include assistance in areas, particularly in the southern United States, where overcrowded shelters often lead to the unnecessary euthanization of adoptable dogs. Through a network of volunteers, Underhound Railroad works to prevent these outcomes by addressing medical needs, providing transportation, and connecting dogs with loving foster families as they transition to their permanent homes.
