Adoption Process
The adoption process begins with a meet and greet application, followed by a personal and veterinary reference check. We require that all current and previous pets be spayed or neutered and up to date on vaccinations, unless a veterinary note is provided. A home, yard, and fence inspection will be conducted, and all household members, including both humans and pets, should be present for the meeting. If it is determined that the adoption is a good fit, an adoption contract will be signed and payment will be processed. We also require that if an adopter can no longer care for the dog, the dog must be returned to our rescue.
Service Areas
Our services are available statewide in Colorado. We have facilitated a limited number of out-of-state adoptions to Wyoming; however, we have not conducted any out-of-state adoptions since the COVID-19 pandemic.

CO Corgis and Friends is a nonprofit dog rescue organization, recognized as a 501(c)(3), that focuses on Corgis and other lowrider breeds. Established in late 2019 by a dedicated group of Corgi enthusiasts, our mission is to support not only Corgis but all dogs in need. Our founding members bring over 100 years of combined experience in Corgi ownership and more than 50 years of experience in dog rescue. We are committed to assisting homeless dogs, helping owners find new homes for their pets, and providing guidance on training issues commonly associated with herding breeds. We encourage you to reach out to us to see how we can assist you. CO Corgis and Friends received its 501(c)(3) designation in January 2020 and is PACFA certified as of January 17, 2020.
