Breeder Release Adoption Service in Bon Carbo, CO

Our organization is committed to finding suitable adoptive homes for dogs that breeders are retiring or unable to sell. We primarily focus on Yorkshire Terriers, Yorkie mixes, King Charles Cavalier Spaniels, and occasionally other small breeds. Our foster capacity allows for the care of 15 to 20 dogs each month, with new arrivals on a regular basis. All dogs in our care are spayed or neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and receive dental care as needed. With several years of experience in rescuing Yorkies, our small team of dedicated volunteers, supported by a fantastic veterinary team, has successfully placed over 400 dogs into loving forever homes. We aim to match our rescued dogs with the ideal home for each individual animal. In cases where a home visit is not feasible, we request photographs of the intended living, sleeping, and play areas for the dog. It is important to note that Yorkies can become aggressive toward small children, so we do not place them in homes with children under 10 years old. As companion animals, they have previously lacked the human interaction they need, and we want them to be the primary focus of their new owners, often requiring a stay-at-home parent. King Charles Cavaliers are generally more tolerant of children, but placements will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis when children are present in the home. We require prospective adopters to complete an application, which we will provide via email, as well as an adoption contract at the time of adoption.
