Mission Statement The Humane Society of the Ozarks is dedicated to promoting the humane and ethical treatment of all animals through education and advocacy. We have been serving pets and families in Northwest Arkansas since 1946. Since 1946 The Humane Society of the Ozarks has been committed to the welfare of both people and animals in Northwest Arkansas. Outreach and Community Our Outreach Program offers financial assistance to individuals who would not be able to afford veterinary care for their pets in emergency situations. Adopting Pets We conduct cruelty investigations and remove animals from abusive, neglectful, and hoarding situations. This allows us to rescue animals subjected to horrific conditions, provide them with necessary veterinary care, and rehabilitate them physically, socially, and emotionally, with the ultimate goal of placing them in safe, secure, and loving forever homes.

Adopting from Humane Society of the Ozarks

Adoption process

The adoption fee ranges from $175 to $200. Prospective adopters are required to submit an adoption application through our website. Once the application is approved, we will arrange a meet and greet. Additionally, all animals currently residing in the home must be spayed or neutered and fully vaccinated.
