Adoption Process
The adoption process begins when a potential adopter submits an application for a dog. A volunteer will conduct a thorough reference check, which includes contacting any veterinarians listed by the applicant. The volunteer will verify that any current or previous pets are current on all vaccinations and preventive care. Following this, a meet and greet is arranged between the potential adopter and their current pet(s), if applicable. If the interaction is successful, the adopter typically pays an adoption fee of $350 to finalize the process and take home their new pet. To ensure a good fit, there is a two-week period during which the adopter can assess the placement. If the arrangement does not work out, the pet can be returned, and the adoption fee will be refunded.
