More about Ollie
Meet Ollie! Ollie is a handsome 5-year-old Malamute/Husky mix with a playful spirit and a love for the great outdoors. He was recently returned to our shelter after struggling with some reactivity while on a camping trip, and we're committed to finding him the home where he can truly thrive. Like many dogs, Ollie may find new or overwhelming environments challenging, so he'll do best with a family that understands his needs and is willing to continue building his confidence through positive, consistent training. True to his breed, Ollie loves being outside and would be happiest in a home with a large, securely fenced yard where he has room to explore, play, and burn off energy. He previously lived successfully with two other large breed dogs, so he may do well with the right canine companions after a proper introduction. Ollie is also kennel trained when left unsupervised and knows the routine of home life and yes, he does come with the classic Husky personality, including the famous Husky "talk" and howl that fans of the breed know and love. As a Malamute/Husky mix, Ollie will need regular grooming to keep his beautiful coat healthy and continued mental and physical enrichment to keep him happy. He is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all of his vaccinations, making him ready to start his next adventure. If you're looking for a loyal outdoor companion and have experience with this specific breed, Ollie could be the perfect addition to your family.
