More about Poppi
Forever home wanted, meet Poppi! We are always appreciative when the shelter reaches out to us about a pup that needs help. Sweet puppy Poppi arrived at the Hesperia shelter after being found at a school with an injured leg. She was taken to an outside vet for X-rays and they discovered she has a fractured tibia in her right rear leg. Luckily, the fracture is not at the growth plate, and they feel it should heal with the use of splints and 6-8 weeks of crate rest. A wonderful foster stepped up to help Poppi through her recovery. She is a little beauty, affectionate and super happy even with what she's been through. Poppi recently had a recheck with the veterinarian and her leg is healing very nicely. She had a splint change and will go back in for a splint change in two weeks. Poppi could be placed in a home with a family willing to continue her crate rest restrictions for the next few weeks when we expect her to be healed completely. We will continue to update Poppi's bio throughout her recovery. If you are interested in more information on Poppi, head over to labradorsandfriends.org to fill out an application. Poppi is located in Southern California.
