Hey future best friend! My name is Jake. I'm an almost 1 year old, 95 lb all American mutt and basically the full package. Tall, handsome, emotionally available, baby blue eyes, and always down for snacks or an adventure. I love walks, car rides, sprinklers, hikes, snuggling, and hanging with my people. I've had a rough start to life and have already been given up twice because my families had babies. Personally, I thought families just got bigger and everyone got more snacks, but apparently not. The good news is I haven't let any of that make me bitter.  My foster dad says I'm a smart, happy boy with pretty good recall and working hard on my manners. I know commands like sit and stay, I'm crate trained, fully housebroken, and I don't bark much. I’m pretty close to perfect, but I am a big guy and I get excited to see my people and meet new friends. Sometimes my enthusiasm arrives before my manners do. I get along great with dogs and kids. Basically, if you have a pulse, I’m probably your friend already. If you have another dog who likes to play a lot and/or if you aren’t a complete couch potato, that would be like heaven to me. Let’s go make real memories together! What I'm looking for is a forever family who won't give up on me when life changes. I promise to bring the love, loyalty, and comedy.
